This year’s lineup brings together theatre, dance, and inventive visual storytelling, offering global audiences a fresh window into the creative soul of Taiwan:
• In Dazed and Confused (Underbelly), magician Lin Lu-Chieh combines stunning sleight-of-hand with an honest coming-of-age memoir — a solo performance that’s heartfelt, disarming, and gently participatory.
• Where Has All the Fruit Gone? (Assembly) by Yinalang Group turns the humble tangerine into a symbol of heritage, migration, and Lunar New Year family ties, using playful object theatre and poetic imagery.
• Whale, Where Are You Going? (Assembly) is a delightful wordless show that blends puppetry and shadow play in a whimsical tale of connection between a boy, an old man, and a mysterious sea creature.
• Trace of Belief (Dance Base) by Chun Dance fuses sacred Taiwanese ritual with contemporary choreography to explore the meaning of faith in times of change.
Each performance is a European or Fringe premiere, presented in collaboration with Assembly, Dance Base, and Underbelly — long-time partners in amplifying artistic voices from across the world.
